Terms and Conditions

Please read our policies in detail before booking your adventure with Weros Diving.

1. Reservation and Payment Policies

To confirm any reservation for diving tours or courses, a deposit or the payment stipulated at the time of confirmation is required. The remaining balance must be paid on the day of the dive before starting the activity.

Prices and promotions may be subject to change without notice, but we will always respect the price agreed upon at the time the reservation was confirmed with the respective deposit.

Marine Park fees (e.g., Cozumel) or other federal taxes may not be included in the base cost unless otherwise specified.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policies

We understand that plans can change during vacations. Therefore, we have established the following fair cancellation and refund policies:

  • Cancellation more than 48 hours in advance: Full refund of the deposit (minus any applicable bank fees).
  • Cancellation within 48 hours prior to the tour: No refund of the deposit.
  • No Show: A client who does not show up at the meeting point at the agreed start time of the tour will lose 100% of the amount paid, with no possibility of a refund.
  • Medical inability or equalization problems on the boat: If once on the boat or in the water the diver cannot submerge due to problems equalizing their ears, fear/panic, or other personal factors that prevent them from diving, unfortunately there is no refund for the service, as the space on the vessel was occupied and a professional was assigned exclusively for the service.

3. Cancellations due to Weather and Port Authority

The safety of our divers and staff is our absolute priority. If the Port Authority of Playa del Carmen or Cozumel closes navigation due to poor weather conditions (strong winds, rough seas, hurricanes):

  • We will attempt to reschedule your dive for another day, or offer safe and viable alternatives (for example: changing a sea dive for a spectacular Cenote dive).
  • If rescheduling is not possible for your travel dates and we must cancel exclusively due to the official closure of the port, we will proceed to issue a 100% refund of your money.

4. Medical Questionnaire and Fitness

When enrolling in any activity, such as Discover Scuba Diving or certifications, all divers must honestly complete a Standard Medical Questionnaire.

  • If you answer "Yes" to any of the questions about medical conditions (such as chronic lung problems, heart disease, asthma, epilepsy, uncontrolled high blood pressure, etc.), a medical certificate with authorization signed by a doctor will be mandatory prior to any dive.
  • Per hyperbaric medicine protocols, it is strictly mandatory to wait between 18 and 24 hours after the last dive before taking any commercial flight or ascending to high altitudes.
  • Weros Diving reserves the right to cancel the participation of any diver (without refund) if they arrive at the site under the obvious influence of alcohol, drugs, or with acute hangover symptoms that put their life or the group's order at risk.

5. Requirements for Certified Divers

For all our reef dives for certified divers (and particularly in Cozumel or advanced Cenotes), it is mandatory to present physically or digitally your official credential or Open Water certification (PADI, SSI, SDI, NAUI, etc.).

If you are certified but have not been in the water in more than 12 to 24 months (depending on your level and number of previous logged dives), we may require you to take a quick Refresher course for your own safety and that of the entire group before taking you to advanced open waters.

6. Care and Responsibility for Diving Equipment

If you choose to rent our equipment (regulators, BCD, masks, fins, wetsuits), you agree to follow the preventive instructions of the instructors and to care for it on the vessel and underwater.

In the rare event of loss or severe breakage due to malicious use, severely improper handling, or negligence 100% attributable to the user (for example: incorrectly releasing the weight belt in the water sending it to the bottom of the sea, or throwing personal equipment overboard), the user will be financially responsible for covering the cost of replacement or repair of the damaged or lost material.

7. Assumption of Risk

Before any water experience, participants must understand that scuba diving involves inherent risks to the marine environment. Therefore, they must read, understand, and sign a standard Express Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability Document, without which water entry will not be permitted.
